A prominent political organization is looking for experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will be responsible in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to increase turnout across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. Roles/Duties:
- Organize door-to-door efforts to engage and persuade voters.
- Execute and manage campaign rallies and canvassing operations.
- Create and apply strategies for targeted voter outreach.
- Work with volunteers and other campaign staff to achieve campaign goals.
- Use social platforms to enhance campaign visibility and engagement.
- Analyze polls and data to make informed decisions about campaign strategies.
- Customize campaign messaging for targeted audiences by filtering information.
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and management for campaign efforts.
- Meet or exceed set performance metrics consistently while managing stress effectively.
- Cultivate a solid volunteer team and area insight for GOTV campaigns.
- Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the county officials, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
- Submit regular reports on voter outreach and volunteer recruitment to the Vice Chair.
- Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
- Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events.
- Work with other candidates, campaign staff, county parties, and organizations to implement a successful Coordinated Campaign.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in political campaigns or community organizing is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Driven to boost election turnout and impact the community positively.
- Experience in organizing (whether paid, as a volunteer, or through internships) is preferred.
- Full availability for the last two months before the Election is required.
- Must be a strong trainer.
