Full Job Description

A leading political organization seeks experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will take the lead in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to increase turnout across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. This is an opportunity to maximize voter turnout while being directly mentored and supervised by seasoned political operatives. Roles/Duties:

  • Visit homes to mobilize and convince swing voters to back the campaign.
  • Organize and execute campaign rallies, canvasses, and door-to-door canvassing efforts.
  • Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies to reach specific groups of voters.
  • Join forces with campaign volunteers and staff to accomplish goals.
  • Leverage social media to boost campaign awareness and participation.
  • Analyze polls and data to make informed decisions about campaign strategies.
  • Customize campaign messaging for targeted audiences by filtering information.
  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and management for campaign efforts.
  • Achieve targeted goals regularly and excel under pressure.
  • Build up a strong volunteer base and understanding of the area for Get Out the Vote (GOTV).
  • Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the county officials, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
  • Submit regular reports on voter outreach and volunteer recruitment to the Vice Chair.
  • Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
  • Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events.
  • Work with other candidates, campaign staff, county parties, and organizations to implement a successful Coordinated Campaign.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in political campaigns or community organizing is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.

  • Full availability for the last two months before the Election is required.
