Full Job Description

A prominent political organization seeks experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will take the lead in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to increase turnout across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. Roles/Duties:

  • Organize door-to-door efforts to engage and persuade voters.
  • Organize and execute campaign rallies, canvasses, and door-to-door canvassing efforts.
  • Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies to reach specific groups of voters.
  • Collaborate with volunteers and staff to meet campaign objectives.
  • Utilize social networks to increase awareness and engagement with the campaign.
  • Analyze polls and data to make informed decisions about campaign strategies.
  • Discriminate information to ensure campaign messaging is tailored to specific audiences.
  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and management for campaign efforts.
  • Achieve targeted goals regularly and excel under pressure.
  • Develop a robust volunteer network and local knowledge for effective GOTV efforts.
  • Build and sustain trustworthy relationships with county leaders, candidates, and allied organizations.
  • Report voter engagement and volunteer recruitment statistics to the Vice Chair regularly.
  • Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
  • Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in political campaigns or community organizing is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.

  • Must be fully available in the final two months leading up to the Election.
