Full Job Description

A major political organization is in search of experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will be responsible in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to elect conservative candidates across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. This is an opportunity to maximize voter turnout while being directly mentored and supervised by seasoned political operatives. Roles/Duties:

  • Visit homes to mobilize and convince swing voters to back the campaign.
  • Execute and manage campaign rallies and canvassing operations.
  • Create and apply strategies for targeted voter outreach.
  • Join forces with campaign volunteers and staff to accomplish goals.
  • Utilize social networks to increase awareness and engagement with the campaign.
  • Evaluate polls and data for strategic campaign planning.
  • Tailor campaign messages to specific audiences through selective information.
  • Organize and oversee volunteers for various campaign activities including phone banking and voter registration.
  • Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and quarterly basis and work well under pressure.
  • Develop a robust volunteer network and local knowledge for effective GOTV efforts.
  • Build and sustain trustworthy relationships with county leaders, candidates, and allied organizations.
  • Submit regular reports on voter outreach and volunteer recruitment to the Vice Chair.
  • Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
  • Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events.
  • Collaborate with candidates, staff, and local parties for a unified campaign effort.

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience working on political campaigns or in community organizing is highly valued.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Able to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Passionate about increasing election turnout and making a difference in their community.
  • Experience in organizing (whether paid, as a volunteer, or through internships) is preferred.
  • Must be fully available in the final two months leading up to the Election.
  • Must be a strong trainer.
  • Ability to work long and unusual hours (weekends and some nights, especially leading up to the election) is a must.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team are important.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle. Travel is required.
