Full Job Description

A leading political organization is in search of experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will lead in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to boost voter participation across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. This is an opportunity to maximize voter turnout while being directly mentored and supervised by seasoned political operatives. Roles/Duties:

  • Go door-to-door to mobilize voters and persuade swing voters to support the campaign.
  • Organize and execute campaign rallies, canvasses, and door-to-door canvassing efforts.
  • Implement outreach plans to engage specific voter demographics.
  • Work with volunteers and other campaign staff to achieve campaign goals.
  • Leverage social media to boost campaign awareness and participation.
  • Evaluate polls and data for strategic campaign planning.
  • Discriminate information to ensure campaign messaging is tailored to specific audiences.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, and canvassing events.
  • Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and quarterly basis and work well under pressure.
  • Cultivate a solid volunteer team and area insight for GOTV campaigns.
  • Foster strong, trust-based relationships with local officials, candidates, and volunteer groups.
  • Report voter engagement and volunteer recruitment statistics to the Vice Chair regularly.
