Full Job Description

A major political organization seeks experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will be responsible in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to boost voter participation across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. This is an opportunity to maximize voter turnout while being directly mentored and supervised by seasoned political operatives. Roles/Duties:

• Visit homes to mobilize and convince swing voters to back the campaign.
• Execute and manage campaign rallies and canvassing operations.
• Create and apply strategies for targeted voter outreach.
• Join forces with campaign volunteers and staff to accomplish goals.
• Utilize social networks to increase awareness and engagement with the campaign.
• Use data and poll analysis to guide campaign strategy decisions.
• Discriminate information to ensure campaign messaging is tailored to specific audiences.
• Organize and oversee volunteers for various campaign activities including phone banking and voter registration.
• Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and quarterly basis and work well under pressure.
• Build up a strong volunteer base and understanding of the area for Get Out the Vote (GOTV).
• Build and sustain trustworthy relationships with county leaders, candidates, and allied organizations.
• Provide daily/weekly reports of voter contact and volunteer recruitment data to the Vice Chair.
• Work with the Communications Director, Data Director, and other staff, committee chairs, and team leads as appropriate to implement organizational goals across the county.
• Organize and gather volunteers for weekly events.
• Collaborate with candidates, staff, and local parties for a unified campaign effort.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in political campaigns or community organizing is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Able to work both independently and in team settings.
• Passionate about increasing election turnout and making a difference in their community.
• Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship).
• Full availability for the last two months before the Election is required.
• Requires strong training abilities.
• Willingness to work extended and irregular hours, including weekends and nights, is crucial.
