Full Job Description

A prominent political organization is looking for experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will lead in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to boost voter participation across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. Roles/Duties:

• Organize door-to-door efforts to engage and persuade voters.
• Execute and manage campaign rallies and canvassing operations.
• Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies to reach specific groups of voters.
• Collaborate with volunteers and staff to meet campaign objectives.
• Leverage social media to boost campaign awareness and participation.
• Analyze polls and data to make informed decisions about campaign strategies.
• Discriminate information to ensure campaign messaging is tailored to specific audiences.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, and canvassing events.
• Meet or exceed set performance metrics consistently while managing stress effectively.
• Cultivate a solid volunteer team and area insight for GOTV campaigns.
• Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the county officials, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
• Submit regular reports on voter outreach and volunteer recruitment to the Vice Chair.
• Work with the Communications Director, Data Director, and other staff, committee chairs, and team leads as appropriate to implement organizational goals across the county.
• Organize and gather volunteers for weekly events.
• Join forces with various political entities to execute a cohesive campaign strategy.

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience working on political campaigns or in community organizing is highly valued.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

• Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship).
• Must be fully available in the final two months leading up to the Election.
