Full Job Description

A leading political organization is in search of experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will take the lead in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to increase turnout across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. This is an opportunity to maximize voter turnout while being directly mentored and supervised by seasoned political operatives. Roles/Duties:

  • Organize door-to-door efforts to engage and persuade voters.
  • Execute and manage campaign rallies and canvassing operations.
  • Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies to reach specific groups of voters.
  • Work with volunteers and other campaign staff to achieve campaign goals.
  • Leverage social media to boost campaign awareness and participation.
  • Use data and poll analysis to guide campaign strategy decisions.
  • Tailor campaign messages to specific audiences through selective information.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, and canvassing events.
  • Meet or exceed set performance metrics consistently while managing stress effectively.
  • Build up a strong volunteer base and understanding of the area for Get Out the Vote (GOTV).
  • Build and sustain trustworthy relationships with county leaders, candidates, and allied organizations.
  • Report voter engagement and volunteer recruitment statistics to the Vice Chair regularly.
  • Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
  • Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events.
  • Work with other candidates, campaign staff, county parties, and organizations to implement a successful Coordinated Campaign.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in political campaigns or community organizing is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Able to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Driven to boost election turnout and impact the community positively.
  • Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship).
  • Full availability for the last two months before the Election is required.
  • Requires strong training abilities.
  • Willingness to work extended and irregular hours, including weekends and nights, is crucial.
  • Must be detail-oriented and thrive in a high-speed setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills required.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle. Travel is required.
