Full Job Description

A leading political organization seeks experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will lead in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to boost voter participation across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. Roles/Duties:

• Visit homes to mobilize and convince swing voters to back the campaign.
• Organize and execute campaign rallies, canvasses, and door-to-door canvassing efforts.
• Create and apply strategies for targeted voter outreach.
• Work with volunteers and other campaign staff to achieve campaign goals.
• Leverage social media to boost campaign awareness and participation.
• Use data and poll analysis to guide campaign strategy decisions.
• Tailor campaign messages to specific audiences through selective information.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, and canvassing events.
• Achieve targeted goals regularly and excel under pressure.
• Build up a strong volunteer base and understanding of the area for Get Out the Vote (GOTV).
• Foster strong, trust-based relationships with local officials, candidates, and volunteer groups.
• Provide daily/weekly reports of voter contact and volunteer recruitment data to the Vice Chair.
• Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
• Organize and gather volunteers for weekly events.
• Join forces with various political entities to execute a cohesive campaign strategy.

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience working on political campaigns or in community organizing is highly valued.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Driven to boost election turnout and impact the community positively.
• Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship).
• Must be fully available in the final two months leading up to the Election.
• Requires strong training abilities.
