Full Job Description

A major political organization is in search of experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will be responsible in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to boost voter participation across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. This is an opportunity to maximize voter turnout while being directly mentored and supervised by seasoned political operatives. The ideal candidate brings a passion for the conservative cause and strong organizing and leadership abilities. Roles/Duties:

  • Visit homes to mobilize and convince swing voters to back the campaign.
  • Organize and execute campaign rallies, canvasses, and door-to-door canvassing efforts.
  • Implement outreach plans to engage specific voter demographics.
  • Work with volunteers and other campaign staff to achieve campaign goals.
  • Utilize social networks to increase awareness and engagement with the campaign.
  • Analyze polls and data to make informed decisions about campaign strategies.
  • Tailor campaign messages to specific audiences through selective information.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, and canvassing events.
  • Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and quarterly basis and work well under pressure.
  • Develop a robust volunteer network and local knowledge for effective GOTV efforts.
  • Foster strong, trust-based relationships with local officials, candidates, and volunteer groups.
  • Submit regular reports on voter outreach and volunteer recruitment to the Vice Chair.
  • Partner with communications, data, and other department heads to fulfill county-wide organizational goals.
  • Organize and gather volunteers for weekly events.
  • Work with other candidates, campaign staff, county parties, and organizations to implement a successful Coordinated Campaign.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in political campaigns or community organizing is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Able to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Passionate about increasing election turnout and making a difference in their community.
  • Experience in organizing (whether paid, as a volunteer, or through internships) is preferred.
  • Must be fully available in the final two months leading up to the Election.
  • Must be a strong trainer.
  • Willingness to work extended and irregular hours, including weekends and nights, is crucial.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills required.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle. Travel is required.
