Full Job Description

A major political organization is in search of experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will take the lead in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to boost voter participation across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. Roles/Duties:

  • Go door-to-door to mobilize voters and persuade swing voters to support the campaign.
  • Coordinate and lead campaign events, rallies, and canvassing activities.
  • Create and apply strategies for targeted voter outreach.
  • Work with volunteers and other campaign staff to achieve campaign goals.
  • Leverage social media to boost campaign awareness and participation.
  • Use data and poll analysis to guide campaign strategy decisions.
  • Customize campaign messaging for targeted audiences by filtering information.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, and canvassing events.
  • Achieve targeted goals regularly and excel under pressure.
  • Build up a strong volunteer base and understanding of the area for Get Out the Vote (GOTV).
  • Build and sustain trustworthy relationships with county leaders, candidates, and allied organizations.
  • Submit regular reports on voter outreach and volunteer recruitment to the Vice Chair.
  • Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
  • Organize and gather volunteers for weekly events.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in political campaigns or community organizing is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

  • Full availability for the last two months before the Election is required.
