Full Job Description

A major political organization seeks experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will be responsible in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to elect conservative candidates across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. Roles/Duties:

  • Go door-to-door to mobilize voters and persuade swing voters to support the campaign.
  • Organize and execute campaign rallies, canvasses, and door-to-door canvassing efforts.
  • Create and apply strategies for targeted voter outreach.
  • Join forces with campaign volunteers and staff to accomplish goals.
  • Utilize social networks to increase awareness and engagement with the campaign.
  • Evaluate polls and data for strategic campaign planning.
  • Tailor campaign messages to specific audiences through selective information.
  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and management for campaign efforts.
  • Achieve targeted goals regularly and excel under pressure.
  • Cultivate a solid volunteer team and area insight for GOTV campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the county officials, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
  • Submit regular reports on voter outreach and volunteer recruitment to the Vice Chair.
  • Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
  • Organize and gather volunteers for weekly events.
  • Work with other candidates, campaign staff, county parties, and organizations to implement a successful Coordinated Campaign.

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience working on political campaigns or in community organizing is highly valued.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.
  • Able to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Passionate about increasing election turnout and making a difference in their community.
  • Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship).
  • Must be fully available in the final two months leading up to the Election.
  • Requires strong training abilities.
  • Ability to work long and unusual hours (weekends and some nights, especially leading up to the election) is a must.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team are important.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle. Travel is required.

Compensation: Salary: varies per month/ Expected hours: varies.
