Full Job Description

A leading political organization is in search of experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will be responsible in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to boost voter participation across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. This is an opportunity to maximize voter turnout while being directly mentored and supervised by seasoned political operatives. Roles/Duties:

• Visit homes to mobilize and convince swing voters to back the campaign.
• Execute and manage campaign rallies and canvassing operations.
• Create and apply strategies for targeted voter outreach.
• Join forces with campaign volunteers and staff to accomplish goals.
• Use social platforms to enhance campaign visibility and engagement.
• Use data and poll analysis to guide campaign strategy decisions.
• Discriminate information to ensure campaign messaging is tailored to specific audiences.
• Organize and oversee volunteers for various campaign activities including phone banking and voter registration.
• Achieve targeted goals regularly and excel under pressure.
• Develop a robust volunteer network and local knowledge for effective GOTV efforts.
• Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the county officials, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
• Provide daily/weekly reports of voter contact and volunteer recruitment data to the Vice Chair.
• Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
• Schedule and recruit volunteers for regular events.
• Join forces with various political entities to execute a cohesive campaign strategy.

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience working on political campaigns or in community organizing is highly valued.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.
• Able to work both independently and in team settings.
• Passionate about increasing election turnout and making a difference in their community.
• Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship).
• Must be fully available in the final two months leading up to the Election.
• Must be a strong trainer.
• Ability to work long and unusual hours (weekends and some nights, especially leading up to the election) is a must.
• Must be detail-oriented and thrive in a high-speed setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team are important.
• Must have a reliable vehicle for necessary travel.
