Full Job Description

A major political organization is in search of experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will lead in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to elect conservative candidates across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. Roles/Duties:

  • Organize door-to-door efforts to engage and persuade voters.
  • Coordinate and lead campaign events, rallies, and canvassing activities.
  • Create and apply strategies for targeted voter outreach.
  • Work with volunteers and other campaign staff to achieve campaign goals.
  • Utilize social networks to increase awareness and engagement with the campaign.
  • Analyze polls and data to make informed decisions about campaign strategies.
  • Discriminate information to ensure campaign messaging is tailored to specific audiences.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, and canvassing events.
  • Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and quarterly basis and work well under pressure.
  • Build up a strong volunteer base and understanding of the area for Get Out the Vote (GOTV).
  • Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the county officials, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
  • Submit regular reports on voter outreach and volunteer recruitment to the Vice Chair.
  • Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
  • Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events.
  • Work with other candidates, campaign staff, county parties, and organizations to implement a successful Coordinated Campaign.

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience working on political campaigns or in community organizing is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Driven to boost election turnout and impact the community positively.
  • Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship).
  • Full availability for the last two months before the Election is required.
  • Must be a strong trainer.
  • Ability to work long and unusual hours (weekends and some nights, especially leading up to the election) is a must.
  • Must be detail-oriented and thrive in a high-speed setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills required.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle. Travel is required.
  • A positive outlook and dedicated passion for electing candidates countywide are crucial.
