Full Job Description

A prominent political organization is in search of experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will lead in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to elect conservative candidates across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. Roles/Duties:

  • Organize door-to-door efforts to engage and persuade voters.
  • Organize and execute campaign rallies, canvasses, and door-to-door canvassing efforts.
  • Create and apply strategies for targeted voter outreach.
  • Collaborate with volunteers and staff to meet campaign objectives.
  • Leverage social media to boost campaign awareness and participation.
  • Analyze polls and data to make informed decisions about campaign strategies.
  • Customize campaign messaging for targeted audiences by filtering information.
  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and management for campaign efforts.
  • Meet or exceed set performance metrics consistently while managing stress effectively.
  • Build up a strong volunteer base and understanding of the area for Get Out the Vote (GOTV).
  • Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the county officials, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
  • Report voter engagement and volunteer recruitment statistics to the Vice Chair regularly.
  • Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
  • Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events.
  • Collaborate with candidates, staff, and local parties for a unified campaign effort.

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience working on political campaigns or in community organizing is highly valued.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.
  • Able to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Passionate about increasing election turnout and making a difference in their community.
  • Experience in organizing (whether paid, as a volunteer, or through internships) is preferred.
  • Must be fully available in the final two months leading up to the Election.
  • Must be a strong trainer.
  • Ability to work long and unusual hours (weekends and some nights, especially leading up to the election) is a must.
  • Must be detail-oriented and thrive in a high-speed setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills required.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle. Travel is required.
  • Positive attitude and a commitment and passion to the cause of electing candidates all across the county.
