Full Job Description

A leading political organization is in search of experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will take the lead in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to boost voter participation across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. Roles/Duties:

• Visit homes to mobilize and convince swing voters to back the campaign.
• Coordinate and lead campaign events, rallies, and canvassing activities.
• Implement outreach plans to engage specific voter demographics.
• Join forces with campaign volunteers and staff to accomplish goals.
• Use social platforms to enhance campaign visibility and engagement.
• Use data and poll analysis to guide campaign strategy decisions.
• Customize campaign messaging for targeted audiences by filtering information.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, and canvassing events.
• Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and quarterly basis and work well under pressure.
• Cultivate a solid volunteer team and area insight for GOTV campaigns.
• Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the county officials, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
• Provide daily/weekly reports of voter contact and volunteer recruitment data to the Vice Chair.
• Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
• Organize and gather volunteers for weekly events.
• Join forces with various political entities to execute a cohesive campaign strategy.

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience working on political campaigns or in community organizing is highly valued.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Driven to boost election turnout and impact the community positively.
• Experience in organizing (whether paid, as a volunteer, or through internships) is preferred.
• Full availability for the last two months before the Election is required.
• Must be a strong trainer.
