Full Job Description

A major political organization is in search of experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will lead in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to boost voter participation across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. This is an opportunity to maximize voter turnout while being directly mentored and supervised by seasoned political operatives. Roles/Duties:

• Go door-to-door to mobilize voters and persuade swing voters to support the campaign.
• Coordinate and lead campaign events, rallies, and canvassing activities.
• Implement outreach plans to engage specific voter demographics.
• Work with volunteers and other campaign staff to achieve campaign goals.
• Utilize social networks to increase awareness and engagement with the campaign.
• Analyze polls and data to make informed decisions about campaign strategies.
• Discriminate information to ensure campaign messaging is tailored to specific audiences.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, and canvassing events.
• Meet or exceed set performance metrics consistently while managing stress effectively.
• Cultivate a solid volunteer team and area insight for GOTV campaigns.
• Build and sustain trustworthy relationships with county leaders, candidates, and allied organizations.
• Submit regular reports on voter outreach and volunteer recruitment to the Vice Chair.
• Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
• Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events.
• Work with other candidates, campaign staff, county parties, and organizations to implement a successful Coordinated Campaign.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in political campaigns or community organizing is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Driven to boost election turnout and impact the community positively.
• Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship).
• Must be fully available in the final two months leading up to the Election.
• Must be a strong trainer.
