Full Job Description

A leading political organization seeks experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will lead in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to boost voter participation across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. This is an opportunity to maximize voter turnout while being directly mentored and supervised by seasoned political operatives. Roles/Duties:

• Go door-to-door to mobilize voters and persuade swing voters to support the campaign.
• Coordinate and lead campaign events, rallies, and canvassing activities.
• Create and apply strategies for targeted voter outreach.
• Join forces with campaign volunteers and staff to accomplish goals.
• Leverage social media to boost campaign awareness and participation.
• Analyze polls and data to make informed decisions about campaign strategies.
• Discriminate information to ensure campaign messaging is tailored to specific audiences.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, and canvassing events.
• Achieve targeted goals regularly and excel under pressure.
• Develop a robust volunteer network and local knowledge for effective GOTV efforts.
• Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the county officials, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
• Submit regular reports on voter outreach and volunteer recruitment to the Vice Chair.
• Collaborate with key staff and leaders to achieve organizational objectives throughout the county.
• Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events.
• Work with other candidates, campaign staff, county parties, and organizations to implement a successful Coordinated Campaign.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in political campaigns or community organizing is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Passionate about increasing election turnout and making a difference in their community.
• Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship).
• Must be fully available in the final two months leading up to the Election.
• Must be a strong trainer.
