Full Job Description

A leading political organization is in search of experienced Political Canvasser to join their team on a year-round basis. In this critical role, you will be responsible in planning, coordinating, and executing voter outreach and engagement efforts to increase turnout across the United States. Your responsibilities will include organizing canvasses, phone banks, and high-impact campaign events, as well as going door-to-door in targeted precincts. A key focus will be persuading swing voters and mobilizing the base to build grassroots momentum leading up to the 2024 election cycle. Roles/Duties:

• Go door-to-door to mobilize voters and persuade swing voters to support the campaign.
• Coordinate and lead campaign events, rallies, and canvassing activities.
• Create and apply strategies for targeted voter outreach.
• Collaborate with volunteers and staff to meet campaign objectives.
• Utilize social networks to increase awareness and engagement with the campaign.
• Use data and poll analysis to guide campaign strategy decisions.
• Discriminate information to ensure campaign messaging is tailored to specific audiences.
• Organize and oversee volunteers for various campaign activities including phone banking and voter registration.
• Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and quarterly basis and work well under pressure.
• Cultivate a solid volunteer team and area insight for GOTV campaigns.
• Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the county officials, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
• Submit regular reports on voter outreach and volunteer recruitment to the Vice Chair.
• Partner with communications, data, and other department heads to fulfill county-wide organizational goals.
• Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events.
• Collaborate with candidates, staff, and local parties for a unified campaign effort.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in political campaigns or community organizing is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Able to work both independently and in team settings.
• Passionate about increasing election turnout and making a difference in their community.
• Experience in organizing (whether paid, as a volunteer, or through internships) is preferred.
• Must be fully available in the final two months leading up to the Election.
• Must be a strong trainer.
• Ability to work long and unusual hours (weekends and some nights, especially leading up to the election) is a must.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills required.
• Access to a reliable vehicle. Travel is required.
